Ministry
Our Minister
Since the summer of 2007, the Reverend Nana' Kratochvil has served as our
quarter-time minister. She comes to us after thirteen years of
service to the Harbor UU Church in Muskegon. She is the President
of the Heartland District of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

When Nana' is not with us, most of our services are led
by Worship
Director Dawn Daniels.

I welcome
non-emergency calls between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Several years ago a
very sharp minister, whose name is now lost to history, wrote a
newsletter column citing the situations that merit a call to the
minister. I've read several versions of it in recent years. None
of them
are available to me now. However, here is my version.
If life has delivered a difficult blow, and you need to share it with an
understanding person:
Call the minister.
If your child just won the spelling championship (or Player of the Year,
or a role in the civic theater, or a gold star for good behavior):
Call the minister.
If you lost your job, or think its going to happen soon:
Call the minister.
If someone in your family is in the hospital:
Call the minister.
If you just got engaged:
Call the minister.
If the seasonal depression from which you suffer is looming:
Call the minister.
If the seasonal depression from which you suffer is beginning to lift:
Call the minister.
If you just received a scary diagnosis:
Call the minister.
If the operation was a success:
Call the minister.
If you are wondering whether your situation merits a call, please refer
to the first item.
