Even I would like to believe when I die that I have given myself away
like a tree that sows seed every spring and never counts the loss,
because it is not loss, it is adding to future life. It is the tree’s way of being.
Strongly rooted perhaps, but spilling out its treasure on the wind.
~ May Sarton
Hopefully by now you have all received our annual stewardship packet mailing which was sent out last Friday. Please be sure to read the contents carefully as you prepare for our upcoming Stewardship Celebration this coming Sunday, March 26. If by chance you have not received the mailing, you can download it here,
or please contact our Stewardship Chair, Annette Pratt (989.400.0173; email@example.com). Thank you!
This Sunday, March 26, we will bring to a close our annual pledge drive with a celebratory worship service!
We will reflect together on how we heed the call to “steward” this church and how the myriad ways in which we give of our time, talents and treasure to this faith community is transformative in our lives, our community, and our world. We will together celebrate our commitment with the pledging of our gifts.
Our minister will be leading us in worship with a reflection of her own on our stewardship theme this year, “Called to A Fierce Hope.” We hope you will join us!
“The gifts demanded of me here are the very gifts I’ve been seeking my whole life long.” ~ Victoria Safford
The texts for the March 5th and March 12th services have (finally!) been posted to our online sermon archive.

Welcome to UU Class - Sunday, March 26 at 12:15 p.m.
This class is geared to newcomers, visitors, and those seeking to learn more about Unitarian Universalism
and this UU fellowship. It is offered every month on the fourth Sunday at 12:15 p.m. Sessions run approximately ninety minutes.
We have one more week of providing dinners for the Rotating Shelter's last week of operation this year.
It's again at St. John's Episcopal Church. The dates are: Monday, 4/3; Wednesday, 4/5; Friday; 4/7, and Sunday, 4/9. We have the main meals covered, but if anyone is interested in helping out with sides dishes such as veggies, salads, breads, and desserts, please let Joyce know (firstname.lastname@example.org; 989-400-9743).
Need a Yard Sign…or a Banner?
If you haven’t as yet purchased a yard sign…or are interested in the banner-size edition we have on display in our entryway, we have yard signs still available at the church office for $20, and the banner edition is available online at Café Press.
As you are doing your spring cleaning, please save anything that we could sell at our UUFCM garage sale on June 15, 16, and 17 at Norma Bailey’s home. This is a big fundraiser for us, so please hold on to any and all items, large and small, that we could sell. At this point, Norma isn’t in a position to store your items, but when she is, it will be announced in the e-News.
A nominating committee has been formed, which will be looking for candidates for Board positions for next year. If you are interested in serving in a leadership role, or want to nominate someone else, please contact Annette Pratt, Janis Shinn or Gisela Moffit. Being on the Board is a highly rewarding experience as you are dealing with very knowledgeable people, learning more about church issues and are able to take part in shaping our fellowship’s future path.
