September is right around the corner, and as well as back-to-school, our youth will be resuming religious education curriculum. We are very excited to be offering diversity and social justice as our theme for this year's programs. We need teachers! All you need to be a successful RE volunteer to be caring and enthusiastic. We have great curriculum prepared, ready to be placed in helping hands. Each volunteer will be teaching with a partner and time commitments are somewhat flexible. If you have any availability we would love to have your help energizing our youth with a UU's committment to social justice. Please contact the DRE, Roze Finn with questions at (989) 400-7674 or rozeofmanycolors@gmail.com.
Summer is nearing, which means our RE year is winding down. Our kids would love for you to sign up to hang out with them on a Sunday or two this summer. The curriculum is FUN and whatever that means to you! Take them for a walk, to a park, play games, share passions, etc. This is a great time to get to know our young congregants and for them to get to know you! Contact Bill Tinsley to sign up (w.tinsleyii@gmail.com or 989-488-8505).
The elementary sleepover will be hosted by Midland UU on Friday, May 16 through Saturday, May 17. We'd like to send a couple people as volunteers/chaperones so Midland does not have to supply everyone. Anyone interested can contact Bill Tinsley or Capalene Howse.
