Congratulations Eric and Drew!

Rev. Eric Severson of the UU Fellowship of Midland and Rev. Drew Frantz of the UU Fellowship of Central Michigan were both recognized for achieving Full Fellowship at General Assembly last week. This level of professional credential is granted to ministers with at least three years experience after yearly evaluation and reflection that includes the minister, Board of Trustees, Shared Ministry Team, and the credentialing committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

Our banner was displayed alongside others from UU congregations across the country at last week's General Assembly in Pittsburgh. Rev. Drew carried the banner in the banner parade.

Infant Pantry Collection - Sunday, July 2

We collect donations for the Infant Pantry on the first Sunday of each month. You can donate online to the Monthly Donations for Infant Pantry on our website or checks can be sent to our treasurer made out to UUFCM with Infant Pantry in the memo. Questions? Garage Sale a Great Success!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our biannual garage sale such a success! So many people helped by either donating and transporting tables, setting up, donating items to sell, sorting and pricing or working the days of the sale. With only a bit of rain the first day and sunshine for the rest of the time, we earned $2529.70! It was truly a UUFCM effort, with lots of good conversation as we worked together. Again, thanks to everyone!

Bookshelf in the Fellowship Hall

The new bookshelf in the Fellowship Hall is designed for us to share books with one another! Our intent is to populate the bookshelf with a variety of books; suggestions are books about Unitarian Universalism, all religions, social justice topics, poetry and banned books (not encouraging romance and mystery novels, nor magazines, for example). The book share system is easy – if you have a book to share, put it on the shelf, and if you want to take a book, feel free to take it home to read and return it (or not!).
