Soul Matters Small Group Returning

"Invitation" Thursday September 26 at 6:30pm
Every month from September through June we explore a different theme provided by Soul Matters. In September the theme is Invitation. Participants in the small group can download the packet here which contains spiritual practices, songs, quotations, questions and more related to the theme. When the group meets (on the fourth Thursday of the month, facilitated by Rev. Drew), everyone is encouraged to share which parts of the packet they explored and engaged with. All are welcome! Please let Rev. Drew know if you are coming or if you have any questions.

Drawing Workshop - on for June 20, But Cancelled for June 27!

On 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, from 10-12 noon, Nancy Roeder conducts a drawing workshop for all interested members. Bring in any artwork that you are doing with a drawing medium and she will offer help and answer questions about the piece you are working on. It can be almost any drawing medium, but please do not bring any type of paint. She has some books and photographs on hand to use to pick projects and/or subjects. Nancy has a degree in fine arts from Washington University in St Louis. Please feel free to contact her with questions. Sponsored by the Adult RE Committee.

Drawing Workshop - Starting May 9

Starting on Tuesday, May 9, from 10-12 noon, Nancy Roeder will conduct a drawing workshop for all interested members and friends. You can bring in any artwork that you are doing with a drawing medium, and she will offer help and answer questions about the piece you are working on. It can be almost any drawing medium: graphite pencils, charcoal pencils, colored pencils, pastels, pen and ink, pastel pencils, conte crayons, and possibly others. Please do not bring any type of paint. She plans to meet every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 10-12. She will bring some books and photographs to use to pick projects and/or subjects. The 1619 Project Docu-Series - Starting April 14

Friday, April 14 from 6:30-9:30 in the Fellowship Hall
Everyone is invited to attend The 1619 Project Docu-Series, a three-week series of videos and discussions! This week we will watch and discuss the first two episodes: Democracy and Race.

Sponsored by Adult RE, the Social Justice Coordinating Team, and the Anti-Racist Task Force, the Hulu video series examines how the legacy of slavery shaped different aspects of contemporary American life. Each evening features two 60-minute videos and a guided discussion of the ideas.
