The birds are consulting about their migrations, the trees are putting on the hectic
or the pallid hues of decay, and begin to strew the ground, that one's very footsteps
may not disturb the repose of earth and air, while they give us a scent that is
a perfect anodyne to the restless spirit. Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
~ George Eliot
Oh happy day! This past Sunday we celebrated the official welcoming of Brigitte Bechtold, Morghan Brassard, and Christopher Harvey as new members of this fellowship. If you have not met these folks yet, please take the time to introduce yourself at the earliest opportunity. They are all very excited to be part of this community… and we are delighted that they are here!
In Worship
This Sunday, October 18, we continue our month-long exploration of hunger and longing with a service themed “The Hunger for Meaning.” This service will feature the world premiere of the choral composition “The Fourth Principle” by David Wolfson. If you missed either of the first two services in this series, the texts may be found on our Sermon Archive.

On the third Sunday of every month – immediately following our worship service – the UUFCM Board holds a brief Fellowship Life meeting to update the congregation on current happenings, plans and/or concerns within the congregation. The intention is for the meetings to be kept brief; the hope is for extended conversation to take place following the meeting during the coffee hour time. Please plan to attend.

Thank you to Mary Alsager and Mary McDonnell who both walked the walk representing our fellowship and to all of you who so generously donated to this cause. If you signed up to make a donation, but haven’t yet turned in your contribution, you need to do so within the next two weeks. And if you haven’t perchance made a donation yet – it’s not too late! The person tasked with taking donations will be announced at the opening of service on Sunday. Thank you!
