Drew Frantz who will present "Summer Reflections." While the service is still in person, Rev. Drew will be leading virtually as he recovers from COVID. The Zoom call starts at 10:00am for social time, and the service starts at 10:30am.   "Welcome to summer! Although regular office hours are suspended for the summer, you may still contact Drew with any urgent Fellowship business if needed, or with significant pastoral care needs. Monday, July 15 We meet on the 3rd Monday from 7:00-9:00pm in the UUFCM social hall and have fun with a variety of games decided by consensus. Annual UUFCM Picnic - Sunday, August 18 Please join us for the UUFCM Annual Picnic at Isabella Township Park in Rosebush at 1:00pm on Sunday, August 18. Please bring your own table service. Hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie dogs, water, iced tea, and lemonade will be provided. Sign-up sheets for helping and additional food will be available online (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B48ACA622A6FE3-50293047-uufcm) and at the UU Building. We look forward to seeing you there!   Women’s Circle The Women's Circle is a program for UUFCM women to get together once a month to discuss whatever the group is interested in. It was suspended during COVID, but Joyce Henricks, one of the previous hosts, is considering starting it up again this fall. Thank you for helping us produce an updated UUFCM Directory. Deadline: Sunday, July 28 Scam Alert Several congregants have received emails and texts purportedly from UUFCM leadership. If you receive a message that seems suspicious, please remember that we would never solicit money or ask for help in this way, and do not respond to the message.   Here are some things to notice in any message: Does this sound like a message from the sender? Is this the sort of request they would make of you? Does the email shown after the person’s name match the one you know? Does the phone number match the phone number in the UUFCM Directory? Spoofing is an attempt to gather data or collect money by impersonation. It can occur via text, phone, email, or online. If you suspect you are being spoofed, call your friend directly to let them know what happened. If it appears to be from someone within the Fellowship, please also forward the suspicious email to [email protected], along with when and how you received the message.   In other instances of spoofing, watch for: requests for personal or financial information requests for money to be transferred a request to return a call, text, or email attachments, particularly .exe files links – do not click them Stay sharp, be safe, and have a great week! • • • Community News • • • We Are Invited!
