​April 7 - Mural Coloring
The UU kids will be making a mural together of the Circle of Life and how all of us are interconnected. They will also be learning a song, "The More We Get Together," and learning ASL signs for some of the lyrics.
 
April 14 - Interdependent Balloon Bop/Fingertip Hula Hoop
These fun games will teach the kids teamwork and communication skills. Come bounce around with us! 

April 21 - Multigenerational Earth Day Service 
In celebration of Earth Day, children and adults will all be together for Sunday worship hour. We will sing songs, tell stories, play games, and more!

April 28 - Earth Day Outdoors
The UU kids will be planting pollinator seeds for their garden, as well as placing their birdhouses and feeders out for our furry friends! If you dig it, come get dirty with us!

We are one step closer to our finished garden project! Building homes for the birds of the neighborhood, the UU kids finished painting and decorating for our equity project. We are excited to build homes and provide water and food resources for our feathered friends. Next, we will place them outside near our gardens. If anyone has perennial seeds, plants, or perennial pollinator flowers and would like to donate them to the garden, please let us know! If anyone would like to help us build and construct in the garden, please get in contact with Marhea. ​

March 3 - Birdhouses into Bird Homes In this class we will be decorating the birdhouses the UU kids made for our feathery friends! 
March 10 - Ramadan and Flowers Come learn about the sacred practice of Ramadan. Our kids will learn to transform the space around them and to build a beautiful garden that sustains life. 
March 17 - Hummingbirds and Butterflies  Come learn about our native Michigan butterflies, native hummingbirds, and learn about the power of transformation. How do we evolve and change as time goes by? 
March 24 - Peace and Tranquility with Feng Shui We will explore Feng Shui--the arrangement of colors, shapes, and objects in rooms, creating a safe space to feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually--through creating our own wind chimes.
March 31 - Transformation of Self  In this class the kids will be making their own fashion statements, transforming our everyday wear into something personal. The kids will learn how to sew, decorate, dye, and design their own clothing or accessories! 

​In class, the UU kids have been learning about equity: where all resources are distributed fairly so everyone can succeed. We have taken this opportunity to see equity in real time in stewardship to the land and nature. The children have been working hard making homes for our Michigan birds, food stations, and bird baths. We are working with nature by creating all the resources to thrive. Languages of Love
"Hello! Bonjour! ¡Hola! Come join us this week as the UU kids learn the languages of love: words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. This will be a run-around high-energy activity."
