Movie Night is every second Saturday at 7 p.m. at the UU Center. The movie for this Saturday, November 8th is “Tim's Vermeer” - an absorbing film about inventor Tim Jenison's quest to solve one of art's greatest mysteries: how did Dutch master Johannes Vermeer paint so photo-realistically 150 years before the invention of photography. The intriguing intersection of science and art; strongly recommended by Laura McBride. Contact Jim Dealing with any questions - deali1jr@cmich.edu or (989) 772-0269.

As the European communist bloc is collapsing, Katrine's quiet life in Norway is interrupted by questions about her early years in East Germany. Her birth resulted from the Nazi occupation of Norway and the resulting effort to produce “pure Aryans” through German soldiers fathering “war children” with Norwegian women. With the truth about her past emerging, Katrine and her family must try to cope with the disturbing political and psychological conflicts.
