This time of year is full of beginnings, including a new school year and a new start for the Fellowship. Spiritually, a beginning is a time of hope, promise, and intention. We prepare ourselves within, whether we are beginning a pilgrimage, a race, or a protest march. What is beginning in your life, and how do you approach it?

The Water Ingathering is a ritual of welcome, return, and community that marks the beginning of the Fellowship’s year as summer turns towards autumn. Everyone is invited to bring water from a place that’s special to you – either at home or far away – and we pour our water into a common bowl. All are welcome. Bring your water if you can; you can also participate in the ritual using a pitcher of water provided.

All-Ages Worship: Mabon

Please join us to celebrate the pagan holiday of Mabon–the fall equinox. In the words of April Rosario, Mabon “is a time to gather the gifts of the season, such as apples from the trees, vegetables from the garden, lessons from the year, and moments of connection, and to give thanks for all that has helped us grow. Through its observance, we are reminded that, just as the seasons change, our lives move through seasons of abundance and scarcity, growth and rest, light and darkness.”

This will be a multi-generational worship service: youngsters will stay in the sanctuary for the whole hour rather than leaving for children’s classes, and the service will contain different elements to make it welcoming for young and old alike.
