The purpose of the group is to provide mutual support, guidance, and inspiration in Buddhism-based meditation practice. During meetings we do sitting meditation, optional walking meditation, a small amount of chanting, and discussion of a collaboratively chosen text. Actual meditation begins at 7:00pm sharp, so it is important to arrive early, around 6:45/6:50pm.

​We celebrate the 8 Sabbats–Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, Mabon, Samhain, and, Yule–generally on the Sunday closest to the day of the Sabbat.

​We gather to celebrate the Pagan Rituals mentioned above. We support each other and commune with each other. This is an open group - anyone is welcome to participate.

We enjoy good company and a variety of new dishes. You have the opportunity to share one of your favorites. Afterwards, people play board games (but only if you want to) in a very laid back environment.

We also sing Happy Birthday to the people celebrating theirs in that month. We have a lot of fun. Everyone is invited, including children.

Each month we will read a play aloud. Roles are assigned and scripts are available about ten days before meeting. No memorization required, but reading play prior to “performance” is strongly advised. Come and satisfy your inner actor!

The Women’s Circle is a program for UUFCM women to get together once a month to discuss whatever the group is interested in. This is an opportunity to learn from one another, to share, and to get support for life’s challenges.
