Carolyn Hancock and Deb Alore will be hosting with a theme of Spring – A New Beginning. Let's celebrate spring with your favorite fresh foods or your favorite dish of any kind! We will also be celebrating the May birthdays of Scott Daigle, Cynthia Damer, Susan Powers, Kate Swier, Larry Hall, Stacy Guthrie, and Mary Alsager. The potluck begins at 6:30 p.m. - helping hands are welcome at 6:15 p.m. to assist with set-up preparations.
The book club voted on our next read. It is the award winning book “The Sparrow” by Mary Doria Russell. Is it science fiction or a philosophical genre? Nancy Pearl summarizes as " the nature of good and evil. What happens when a man tries to do the right thing, for the right reasons and ends up causing incalculable harm." Come join us May 22nd at 12:30 and bring your lunch.
Normally we meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month but for this month only we will meet on the 4th Wednesday.
We gather to share a meal and engage in conversation and some game-playing or video watching (or whatever strikes our fancy) on the Last Sunday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the UUFCM Social Hall. A main dish will be provided, all others may bring a snack/side dish/dessert to pass. But if you're short on time or energy to bring something, don't worry - please come anyway!
