We are not human because we think. We are human because we care.
All true meaning is shared meaning.

Decision Day Gathering – Today at 5:30 p.m.
Please join us this afternoon at the UUFCM as we recommit ourselves to the continued work for marriage equality, after last week’s 6th Circuit Court ruling upholding the ban on same-sex marriage. We have several brief speakers, and then an opportunity to discuss the issues and to learn what we can do to make Michigan a better place for our GLBT brothers and sisters.
Worship Matters
“Promises to Keep” is our worship theme for this coming Sunday, November 16 – it is the third and final installment of our series on covenant. Please join us as we dig deeper into what it means not only to proclaim but to be a covenantal community of faith.
• Upcoming Sunday service themes can be found here.
Fellowship Life Meeting Following Service This Sunday
The agenda for the monthly fellowship life meeting includes discussion of the upcoming All-Congregation Mini-Retreat, as well as distribution of aluminum pans for hot dishes being made for Harvest Feast. Kris Los will explain set up for the feast and food drop before the service on the 23rd.
Minister’s Schedule
Where is she? When is she…meaning when is the best time to contact our minister? The simple answer is anytime you have need is the best time. The more complex answer involves the reality of availability. Dawn’s set days off are currently Mondays and Thursdays (Monday is Sabbath time; Thursday is dedicated to seminary work). Fridays are reserved for sermon preparation. So except for emergencies, Dawn will not respond immediately to contacts made on Monday, Thursday and Friday. She is generally up in Mt. Pleasant at varying times on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and of course, Sunday. It is best to contact her in advance via email, Facebook, text or phone if you wish to meet with her: minister@uufcm.org, 989.763.6315 (cell #) and she can be found as Dawn Elliott Daniels on Facebook. It is always good practice to check with her in advance if you hope to catch her at the office. And if you perchance forget all of this, the schedule will be posted on the office door at the fellowship.
Central Michigan Sangha
Central Michigan Sangha is a new Dharma practice group affiliated with UUFCM. Our focus is the practice of meditation. All are welcome. If you want to come and you have not meditated before, let Guy Newland know and someone will meet you at 6:30 to explain.

Our Mission Statement: Not Just a Bumper Sticker
At the end of last year, we decided that transforming ourselves and transforming our world is our mission. What does it mean to transform ourselves and our world? What does it mean to be with one another, to promise to make our world and ourselves better as a result of being in this UUFCM community? Please join us as we explore these important questions at an all-congregation mini-retreat on Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. The workshop will be from 9-12 followed by a soup and bread luncheon from 12-1. All members and friends are invited to add their voice to this important discussion.
