Because I have been athirst, I will dig a well that others may drink.
~ Arabian proverb
Join us in worship this Sunday, March 6, as we continue a month-long sojourn with themes of gratitude, generosity, and service in support of our annual stewardship pledge drive. Our minister’s message for the morning is titled “The Community of Our Lives.”
“Our faith, and membership in this church, comes with strings. To belong to this church and to be a Unitarian Universalist is to say “yes” to those strings. We say “yes” to life. We say “yes” to hope. We say “yes” to a belief that all people are worthy, all people carry a spark of the divine. And more than that, we say “yes” not just to these principles, but we say “yes” to doing the work of our faith, the work of this church, when we’re asked. We can be that “place of quiet and reflection” my correspondent longs for only if, only when, we all commit ourselves to creating that place, sustaining that place, loving that place, and working that place into existence.” ~ Peter Friedrichs

The second discussion group will be the next Sunday, March 13 – same time, same channel. These discussions are open to all…invite family and friends to join in. If you’re a quick read, there’s still time to participate...we have a few copies available for purchase at the fellowship. Cost: $16 per copy.
Bring a Friend Sunday! – March 13
To help remind ourselves that our affection for and devotion to this fellowship are elements of our lives most worthy of sharing with others, we have designated Sunday, March 13 as “Bring a Friend Sunday!” at the UUFCM. This is an opportunity to invite those folks you’ve been meaning to bring along to Sunday service…because you sense that this place might resonate with them or just because you want to share something that’s become important to you in your life – let this serve as motivation! And if you’ve not yet considered sharing your experience here with someone else – we would gently ask “Why not?”

In case of inclement weather, a decision to cancel the service will be made by 9 a.m. An announcement will be posted on our web site (uufcm.org) and on Facebook as well as sent directly via email. Those who are not online will be phoned. If you have questions, call Annette Pratt (989-400-0173).
