I loaf and invite my soul,
I lean and loaf at my ease observing
A spear of summer grass.
~ Walt Whitman
Our minister has returned from her month-long journey west that began with attendance at our UUA General Assembly in Portland, Oregon and continued through the mountains, plains and canyons of thirteen other states for a total of 7500 (mostly) wondrous miles traveled…whew, what a trip! So many stories to tell and learnings to share. Dawn will be leading worship this Sunday, July 26, but as of this moment, she is undecided as to the focus of her message for worship...so please come and allow yourself to experience worship without benefit of preview!
Open yourself to surprise! Come, let us worship together.
In order to keep our directory current, we ask that everyone check his/her entries and send any changes (phone, email, postal address) to Kirsten at ad[email protected] as soon as possible. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Lughnasa is the first harvest festival of the year. We celebrate the bounty of late summer that will help us to thrive for another year. We invite those of you who are interested in participating in this ritual to bring an item of food or drink to share at the potluck that follows the ceremony. We will gather at 6:30 pm and begin our ceremony promptly at 7:00 pm.
Look at What We've Accomplished!
Please enjoy the recently planted flowers outside our door, the cleaned gutters, the recent updating of paint, blinds, and window valances in the Upper RE attic classroom, and organized/cleaned basement. Many members having been working hard to maintain our beautiful building as part of their service commitment to UUFCM. Giving Garden
This summer the RE Youth is helping to grow a giving garden. All produce from our plot will be donated to benefit guests of the local Soup Kitchen. We have secured a plot with the Campus Grow project, which we will need help to keep weeded and watered now that we have done the initial planting. Please contact Roze Bentley (989-400-7674) with days and times you may be available.
