Let there be work, bread, water and salt for all.

First Friday Potluck
Our monthly gathering to share a meal and have a fun social time together is happening next Friday, August 1st at 6:00 p.m. Simply bring a dish to pass and your week-worn weary self to the UUFCM social hall for nourishment and rejuvenation - at least as much as can be gained from sharing a meal, conversation and laughter with friends. We hope you’ll join us!
CUUPS Celebrates Lughnasa
Covenant of UU Pagans (CUUPS) will have a Lughnasa Ritual at the UU Center on Saturday, August 2nd at 7:00 p.m. This ritual is the first harvest festival of the year. We celebrate the bounty of late summer that will help us to thrive for another year. We gather at 6:30 p.m., hold ritual promptly at 7 p.m., and our potluck takes place between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass and/or a dessert to share.
'Get It?'
For the past few weeks, I have asked that eNews emails be replied to with 'Got It', and in the case of double emails, that each be replied to with 'Got It'. Thanks for taking the time to do this, you have been most helpful! Next week, I will be sending from one address, as I believe it is likely that the problem may be solved, and everyone 'Gets It'. If you do not receive eNews next week, please contact me at [email protected]! Thanks again for your help and your patience!

Hosting Opportunity
Urgently seeking host families for a high school choir/orchestra group visiting from Bonaventura Gymnasium in Germany. The students are coming through a Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp program, and will be here from . Scheduled activities include a rehearsal and performance at Mt Pleasant High School and a performance at Blue Lake as well as the possibility of a group potluck at a local park. A bus will transport the group from Mt Pleasant to Blue Lake and back again. Host families are asked to provide lodging, meals, transportation to and from MPHS as needed and to include the students in any other activities your family is doing. What a fun way to experience another culture! We are asking that 2-4 students be placed together in a home for the comfort of the students. There are several staff members coming with the group so if you would prefer to host adults, that can be arranged as well. The unique experience for these students is to experience not only an American tour, but to stay with individual families and understand America in a way not possible in hotels. Please consider opening your home for these few days. You may share this request with anyone that may be interested. For information, please contact Janelle Stewart at July 27-31(989) 513-7406.
