Fear’s pronoun is singular: I’ve got to watch out for me and mine.
Love’s pronoun is plural: we’re in this together, and together
we can grow things that will blossom even in a time of drought.
~ Kathleen McTigue
This Sunday, July 30, our gathering for worship will feature a reflection by our minister titled “Kindness Over Niceness.” Kimberley DeBus wrote in the April 2017 edition of UU World that “Valuing being kind and prophetic over ‘being nice’ would help Unitarian Universalists speak more powerfully to the present times.” What do you think? We hope you will join us!
And if you missed service this past Sunday (we missed you!), you can find the transcript for the reading and sermon reflection, “A Bright Golden Thread,” in our online sermon archive.
Thank You!
The scrap metal drive brought in $198.00 for the leadership development fund! Thanks for the great donations! Many thanks to Norma Bailey for her assistance with picking up, hauling, and unloading the metal.

Environmental Task Force
The Michigan UU Social Justice Network (MUUSJN) is forming an Environmental Task Force to address environmental issues at the local, state and national levels. See this announcement to see how you can get involved.
Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence.
Yet it is the one essential, vital quality of those who seek to change a world
which yields most painfully to change.
~ Robert F. Kennedy
Let us be mindful to leave the parking spaces directly across from our Wisconsin entrance open
for our friends who have mobility issues. Thank you for your consideration.
