Lmcbride010@gmail.com. The proceeds benefit our leadership fundraising efforts! In the meantime, hold onto your own scrap metal for a collection in June. Laura McBride is the contact person.
In Worship
Join us in for worship this Sunday, May 14, for a service that includes a message from our minister titled “Merging with the River.” Now - what does that mean? – you may ask. We encourage you to come to church and find out!

“When the worth and dignity of our individuality meets the interdependent web, our sense of who we are as separate entities becomes less demanding and more spacious. And the web of life feels less abstract or impersonal and more intimate.”     ~ Douglas Kraft

Upcoming Services
May 21: “Our Sure Blossoming – The Annual Communion of Flowers” plus the UUFCM Annual Meeting and Community Potluck to follow. We will also celebrate a New Member Welcoming during this service!
May 28: “On Mortality…and Memory”

Thank You!
A big thank you to the large number of people who provided donation of diapers, wipes, etc. for the Infant Pantry. The amount was impressive as was the number of people involved. It is always a joy to show up at the Pantry with a whole load of important items. Thank you from the people who run the Infant Pantry, and from me.  ~ Tom Moffit

Marching in the Alma Highland Festival Parade
We are again marching in the Alma Highland Festival Parade on Saturday, May 27 (Memorial Day weekend). While the parade starts at 10:30 and is completed by about 11:30, we would need to be there to line up no later than 10:00 a.m. Our minister (Vicki Chessin’s sub this year) is organizing us and getting our parade banner ready, so please contact her (minister@uufcm.org) or Norma Bailey (baile1nj@cmich.edu) to join us. We would love to have a large contingent of Mt. Pleasant UUs!

UUFCM Garage Sale Update
Please continue to save anything that we could sell at our garage sale onJune 15, 16, and 17 at Norma Bailey’s home. We will also include a plant sale during the event, so think about plants you might be able to donate.  Right now we are in need of saw horses, large boards, and tables; please contact Norma (989-560-3952 or
baile1nj@cmich.edu) to set up delivery of these items. As soon as her garage is cleaned, we’ll announce when people can bring items over, probably starting with Memorial Day.

Let no one think that the birth of humanity is to be felt without terror.
The transformations that await us cost everything in the way of courage and sacrifice.
Let no one be deluded that a knowledge of the path can substitute
for putting one foot in front of the other.

~ Mary Caroline Richards
Mindfulness in Parking Requested
