May we be the church of come as you are but not stay as you have been.
~ Dr. Takiyah Amin
What does it mean to be a people of courage? In worship this Sunday, October 22, Joyce Henricks will examine this question through the lens of friendship with a message titled “Aristotle, Rumi, and Friendship.” Laura McBride – who also planned this service – will serve as worship leader. We hope you will join us!
“It’s easier to have a lot of friendly acquaintances than to have a real friend. It takes a lot of energy – and courage – to have a real friend. You risk a lot to share your feelings with others. Commitment to a friend involves risk. Risk requires courage.” ~ Joyce Henricks
You can read more about our monthly theme as well as explore some supplemental resources here.
And if you happen to miss being in worship on any given Sunday, the texts to previous sermon messages
(and some of the readings as well) can be found in our website sermon archive.
