Hospitality…is the enactment of our Unitarian Universalist faith.
~ Peter Morales
Sunday morning Norma Bailey became president elect for a third time!
The 2016-2017 Board of Trustees were commissioned by Dawn Daniels and our congregation.
- International Peace Day
- And…the Eve of the Autumnal Equinox
In worship this Sunday, September 25, we will dig a little deeper into our call to the practice of radical hospitality with a message titled “Where Radical Welcome Begins.” We hope you’ll join us!
“When we practice this kind of radical hospitality to all the ways holy disruption arises in our lives, we make room for the possibility that fear does not have to compel our every response. We begin to experience more kindness to everything that feels difficult within and so this begins to flow outward to others.”
~ Christine Valters Paintner
And…if you happened to miss our Water Service this past Sunday, you will find the text version of both the reading and message on our website sermon archive page.
October 2: “On the Necessity of a Forgotten Virtue”
October 9: “Against Nature” - message written and presented by Guy Newland

Black Lives Matter – Banner Dedication This Sunday!
Our worship service this Sunday will be followed immediately by a dedication ceremony for our new “Black Lives Matter” banner which will hang between the front pillars of our building, as a visible statement of our intent to be effective anti-racism advocates in our community. This ceremony will take place outdoors in front of the church. Please do plan to attend!
First Ever UUFCM Community Photo – to follow banner dedication!
In honor of our 15th anniversary as a UU fellowship – yes, it’s true, we’re teenagers! - we would like to take our first ever community photo in front of the church after the banner dedication this Sunday. No particular dress requirement, though…if you happen to have a UUFCM tee shirt or Standing on the Side of Love shirt, feel free to wear it. Just bring your shiny self and join us!
All faiths and ages are welcome! Come join Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans to celebrate the Fall Equinox, sometimes known as Mabon! Join us at 7 p.m. this Sunday, September 25th in the UUFCM Sanctuary. A potluck meal will follow the ritual. Please bring a dish to pass.

A Little Help Please!
We need baby holders for this upcoming year! If you would like to help out, please let Anna VanArsdaleHoot know what Sunday of the month you are available for holding any babies that come to church. You can contact her at email@example.com.
We are in need of a consistent flow of new photos of fellowship activities and events that we can use on our website and in our eNews publication. Most people find us by way of our website and no matter how bright and shiny our words are, pictures often depict more about who we are as a community. So bring your camera along or pull out that oh so smart phone from your pocket and document for us some of the life being lived in this community – thank you!
Summer RE News
Our RE youth have picked their ninth produce from the raised gardens – three cucumbers, two squash,a small batch of green beans, some cherry tomatoes, and several green peppers – which have been delivered to the Soup Kitchen. The children have weeded and watered each week to keep the gardens in good shape. Good job, RE youth!
