Dear UUFCM Members,

The Bylaws of our fellowship specify how the slate of candidates for the next year’s Board will be chosen. If you’re unsure of the nominating procedures, please see Articles 9.2, 9.2.1, and 9.2.2 in the UUFCM Bylaws.

This year, as specified in the Bylaws, the nominating committee was chaired by Past President Norma Bailey. The committee presents the following slate of candidates for the open Board positions:

President-Elect: Aaron Jones
Secretary: Laurie Meadows
Trustee At Large, two-year term: Monica Jean
Trustee At Large, one-year term: Kevin Daum

If you or another member would like to have a name added to this slate—for any of these positions—you may do this via the Alternative Nominating Procedure. Send a petition supporting such consenting nominee(s) with the signatures (electronic or handwritten) of three members to Past President Norma Bailey, with a copy to President Stacey Pattison, by April 7.

The terms of all candidates begin on July 1 and end on June 30 in the year when they have served the appropriate number of years per the Bylaws.

This year’s annual meeting will be held after service on Sunday, May 21. It is expected that the meeting will be held hybrid (Zoom/in-person). Nominations from the floor will not be accepted; please use the Alternative Nominating Procedure if you want to vote for someone other than those listed above.

At the annual meeting, we will also discuss proposed changes to the Bylaws. These will be distributed to you later. Voting on the nominated Board officers and the Bylaws will take place electronically in the following days, just as we did last year.
