The RE youth and their parents are invited on a group outing to Papa's Pumpkin Patch Friday, October 10th. The outing includes a ride on the Gator Train, a Hayride, a field picked pumpkin, and fresh apple cider and doughnuts. The cost per child is $8, accompanying adults are $4. Preregistration is required no later than 10/5. This event is open to all ages.

Following the trip, our K-3rd grade group will hold a sleepover. We will meet back at the Fellowship at 7 p.m. Cheese pizza and popcorn will be provided as well as several breakfast options. The UU Kids' Choir will be performing this Sunday, September 21st for our Peace Pole ceremony. Participants should arrive at 10:00 a.m. for rehearsal prior to service. Thank you!

Guy Newland will start a course called “Search Inside Yourself” on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. The 8 week course will meet Tuesdays and will be 1:15 minutes long. It will focus on mindfulness, meditation, emotional intelligence and loving kindness. It is based on the book of the same title by Chade-Meng Tan and costs $13. If you want to participate, let Guy know no later than Sept. 16 so that he can order the books. It is a great opportunity to learn more about meditation techniques derived from Buddhism.

In anticipation of the dedication of our Peace Pole that our kids worked so long and hard to install, the UU Kids' Choir has begun rehearsals on Sundays 12:00-12:30. We will be performing on Sunday, September 21.
