On Sunday our Youth Coordinator, Marhea Fay, announced that it was her last day with us and led an activity that had the whole congregation sharing Peace, Love, Unity and Respect with one another. If you were there, you probably have the bracelet to prove it!
Thank you, Marhea, for the connections you built with children and families. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. During the summer months, the Religious Education program has a simpler format. The Youth Religious Education Team is planning for the fall and reflecting on what kind of program best serves our youngsters. The Adult RE Team and Reverend Drew are offering a book discussion group using the UUA Common Read “On Repentance and Repair” for two sessions - Sunday, May 5 and May 12, at noon in the sanctuary. See Drew to get your copy of the book.  Our paint and pizza party to paint our UUFCM banner to hang in downtown Mt. Pleasant was a great success! We painted, ate pizza, painted some more, and finished our masterpiece in record time! Great thanks to Darlene Ritchie for designing our banner and organizing our work and to the children who painted, Felix, Isla, Mairi, Rose and Savannah, and their parents who pitched in too!  Kids in our Youth Religious Education program completed the month of exploring Transformation with creating stuffed animals. Everyone had fun learning to sew! We also an Easter egg hunt.  |
