I have been incredibly fortunate to serve this congregation as the Director of Religious Education (DRE) since 2018. Stepping down from the position on Monday is very bittersweet. I am looking forward to graduate school in speech-language pathology, while at the same time I am already missing all the involvement with families, children’s events, and RE lessons. Watching the children grow, having our rich Sunday morning lessons, getting to know families and congregants, and becoming more involved in the community at UUFCM have given me memories and experiences that I will treasure forever. |
I am more than excited to welcome in the new DRE, Jakobe Neal. His friendly manner, obvious experience with children, and level of enthusiasm for getting started tell me that the RE Program will be in good hands. In the meantime, you can find me at Sunday services, game nights, and other fellowship events for as long as I can attend (what can I say, I’ve grown attached to UUFCM!). Thank you to Drew and the children, families, RE Team, RE staff and volunteers, Worship Team, and congregation for contributing to the RE Program and creating the wonderful community that is UUFCM.
