This summer we are going to be exploring our connections with nature and the animals within it
by learning about mythical creatures!
Many mythical creatures are directly related to the world around them as well as having religious connotations.
We will be covering a variety of creatures, including Fairies, Brownies, Imps, Dragons (Eastern), Dragons
(Western), Unicorns, Nymphs, and Elves.
We will also be tending the vegetable garden where we grow food to donate to the local soup kitchen.
Our design for summer RE is a little different from the school year model – we will not be joining the adults in
worship but will be going directly to the RE room where we will light our chalice, read a story, participate in
mindfulness practice, do an activity together, and then work in the garden if weather permits. The summer
program will run from July 1 to August 19.
