If you were unable to make your donation to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s Guest at Your Table Program at the Harvest Feast – don’t despair! - we will be accepting donations this coming Sunday, December 1. Donation envelopes and Stories of Hope can be found in the foyer outside the sanctuary as well as the UUSC box in which to drop your donation envelope.
Thank you so much for your generous contributions! Our last month’s collection added up to over $50 in products and $126 in cash, serving over 130 babies and toddlers. We are making a difference in their families’ lives! We collect donations for the Infant Pantry on the first Sunday of each month. Most needed items are things for baby care - diapers and pull-ups in sizes 4, 5 or 6, creams, shampoos, lotions, and baby food in jars. To donate money, make the check out to CCN (Community Compasionate Network) with memo “Infant Pantry.” Questions? Contact Tom Moffit (989-772-1602; [email protected]).
We will not be collecting children’s books at the fellowship this year. However I will need volunteers to help distribute books on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, in 2-hour shifts. Stay tuned for more info! Questions? Email Beth Macleod at [email protected]. Below is some information regarding how to register for aid, and also for how to donate.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Justice Party on Saturday, November 2. Lots of talent was on display from members and friends, and the cake and pie walk were again a big hit! Thanks, too, for the donations which totaled $252, which was donated to Ganiard Elementary School for their sensory room for children with special needs.
