The deadline for mailing your absentee ballot to your clerk is Friday, July 31. However, Michigan’s Secretary of State is recommending, due to delays in the postal service, that you now complete your absentee ballot and directly drop it off at your local clerk’s office or at their local drop box. Click here for list of Michigan drop boxes. You can still drop your ballot off no later than 8 p.m. on August 4, Michigan’s primary election day. For additional information, read the full alert from the League of Women Voters.
In preparation for the Tuesday, August 4 ballot, Sara Prussing has created a document describing each candidate’s public stance on environmental issues. Information was gathered from candidates’ websites and Vote411.org, and has been approved by the Environmental Issues committee. Please use this and share it with others!
Both the City of Mt. Pleasant and Union Township are hiring election inspectors.
