As the war on women heats up in Washington DC and in Lansing, it’s an important time for UU’s expand their knowledge and skills to resist! The Michigan UU Social Justice Network (MUUSJN) invites you to attend a high quality, affordable conference called “Arm Yourself for the Fight for Reproductive Rights” that will be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1- 4:30 p.m. at the UAW Local 600, 10550 Dix Avenue, Dearborn, Michigan.
Speakers will provide updates on the future of Roe v. Wade; the Religious Freedom Restoration Act; the Secret History of Catholics, Choice and Sex and an introduction to new Michigan abortion rights legislation. It will include workshops on how to talk with legislators using religious language, on grass roots organizing and using social media. Workshop on the Challenging Racism Toolkit

A workshop explaining the Challenging Racism Toolkit, a Michigan Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Network (MUUSJN) project. The workshop will include an orientation to what's in the toolkit and small group discussions about opportunities for applying the toolkit as individuals, as congregations and in the broader community.
