“Matthew Fox writes of “the small work in the Great Work,” the place of your little life and love, daily days and earnest effort as a solitary person within the larger Life and larger Love that some call Holy, some call God, some call History, and others call simply larger than themselves. Like everybody else, we are doing small work within the Great Work of creation, and thus do we aid it and abet it in unfolding.” ~ Victoria Safford.”
This Sunday, we bring to a close our month-long focus in worship on the theme of racial justice (our work, however, goes on!). In concert with the UUA’s Standing on the Side of Love campaign’s “Share the Love Sunday - which is celebrated annually on Valentine’s Day – our minister asks the question: what does love call us to do in standing up for racial justice? We hope you will join us!

“What I most regretted were my silences…” ~ Audre Lorde Please join us this Sunday, as we continue our effort towards deepening our understanding of the work needed toward racial justice…beginning with ourselves.
“When the supernova comes to get us, we don’t want to be disappointed in ourselves.” ~ Tony Kushner This Sunday will be the second in our month-long sojourn with the themes of diversity and racial justice - the theme for the morning is “Do All Lives Matter?”, with the message titled “Let Us #staywoke”.
Because I love you, I have to make you conscious of the things you do not see. ~ James Baldwin This Sunday begins our month-long sojourn in solidarity with the Standing on the Side of Love campaign's 2016 30 Days of Love – the campaign begins on Martin Luther King Sunday and concludes on Sunday, February 14. During this month we will be exploring together themes of unity, diversity and racial justice. We kick-off this Sunday with Norma Bailey leading worship and sharing a message titled “Freedom Is a Funny Word.”
We are very blessed in this faith community to have cultivated a “pulpit of many voices” over the years that includes a talented team of lay service planners and lay worship leaders who both coordinate and lead worship in our minister’s absence. This is truly a shared ministry! This Sunday, Guy Newland will share “Kindness as a Religion.” Please join us!
