Our worship theme for this coming Sunday, March 1 is “What Makes for Human Goodness.” We will explore the values and motivations of people who work for the common good. This service was planned and coordinated by Tom Moffit and will be facilitated by lay worship leaders Laura McBride, Gisela Moffit, and Tom Moffit.
Our worship theme for Sunday, February 22 is “Building Beloved Community.” What does love call us to in this place? What gifts do we bring…what do we receive…what do we withhold? Join us as we examine together the aspect of love that is generosity and how we grow our own souls through the shared tasks of ministry in community.
“If our radical claim [as Unitarian Universalists] about interdependence is going to have real integrity, we will have to model it in our congregations. We can’t call for a commonwealth, we can’t invoke the common good outside these walls, if we don’t live as a commonwealth, if we don’t act for the common good within them.” ~ James J. Leach
