A multigenerational service. Turning towards the new year and letting go of the old, we will feature a ritual of releasing the things which no longer serve us. Through the metaphor of the burning bowl, we will “burn away” the year 2020 and make room in our spirit for 2021. This service is multigenerational, so children of all ages are invited to participate. Join Zoom Meeting

Christians as well as people of any belief or non-belief, we celebrate the hopeful story of birth and family in the form of baby Jesus. This service will include a children’s Christmas story, readings from the Bible, and traditional Christmas carols. Join Zoom Meeting

Darkness has its own wisdom; it is not merely something to be driven out by lights. On this day we also celebrate new members of our Fellowship who choose to officially join our congregation. One such figure, an ancestor of Santa Claus, is St. Nicholas who in many countries appears to children on December 6. He existed in flesh and blood, and his actual deeds were almost as miraculous as those ascribed to the St. Nicholas who appears on rooftops atop a white horse. We will find out about St. Nicholas and his relation to Kris Kringle, Santa Claus, Saturn, the god Odin, Martin Luther, and even Don Quixote. Most of all, we will recognize a message of generosity and concern for others.
