Join us for worship this Sunday as “We Give Thanks” together in a multigenerational service of story, song and sharing. Worship will be followed by our annual Harvest Feast celebration. Come this Sunday and be fed in both body and soul! Though this service is designed and intended for all ages, childcare services will be available if needed.
“Promises to Keep” is the third and final installment of our series on covenant. Please join us as we dig deeper into what it means not only to proclaim but to be a covenantal community of faith.
For Unitarian Universalists, it is covenant that provides the framework for our intention as a community of faith. But what does this mean, really? How does it work in the life of our church? Over the first three Sundays of November, our worship themes will be anchored in varying aspects of covenant; to engage both with and beyond the conceptual as we strive to deepen our understanding of what it means as a practice - to be “in covenant” with one another. Our second installment, “Bound in Covenant”, will be offered this coming Sunday. Vicki Chessin will be our lay worship leader and sermon presenter for this service. We hope you will join us!
“Living in community is an earned blessing. It does not just happen. Communities are formed when people recognize that they share a common vision and move toward one another to see that vision more clearly. Community is maintained when people have the integrity to be honest, patient, accountable and forgiving with one another. Spiritual community does not require that every member believes the same thing. It does require that what they believe allows them to respect and work with those who believe differently. Community is love made visible by intention.” ~ Anonymous
