This month we join many UU congregations in celebrating the arrival of fall with our annual “Water Service” (also known as "Ingathering" or "Water Communion"). We invite you to bring a small container of water collected from a special place you visited during summer travels or perhaps from closer to home. Pouring it into a common vessel, we symbolically share our inner and outer journeys.
A meditation for this Labor Day Sunday on the imperative of “restoring the sacred rhythm of rest” in our lives. Reflection will be drawn from the wisdom of minister and author Wayne Muller’s book Sabbath.
A reflection on the question of why we come together each week as a community of faith...and just what is it that makes this sacred space and time? Why do we do this thing we do?
Dawn Daniels will be leading our worship service this Sunday, August 17 - her first as UUFCM minister. The message theme for the morning is “A Cauldron of Changes.” As this congregation finds itself yet once again in a process of ministerial transition, Dawn will lead us in a reflection that draws from her own experiences with change over this past year as well as an introduction to her vision for our ministry together. We hope you will join us!
