Five members and friends of UUFCM represented us well at the General Assembly (GA), June 19-23 –
Brigitte Bechtold, Matt Cavalieri, Guy Newland, Christina Gutierrez, and Carol Rard. They all indicated it was a wonderful experience, and they will present a worship service for us in the fall sharing their reflections of the experience.
This orientation is geared to newcomers, visitors, and those seeking to learn more about Unitarian Universalism and this UU fellowship. It is offered every month on the last Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Sessions run approximately ninety minutes. For more info or to register for Welcome to UU, contact: Laura McBride (989.772.5512; Lmcbride010@gmail.com) or Gisela Moffit (989.772.1602; firstname.lastname@example.org)
It’s time for our spring clean-up this year. Your building team (Deb Allore, Norma Bailey, James Hatcher and Kris Los) has planned a half-day inside-the-building cleaning for Saturday, June 22, from 9 am to noon. We’ll have all the cleaning supplies ready for you. All you need to do is show up, whether you can come for 30 minutes or the whole three hours. Remember – many hands make the work light!
On the third Sunday of every month – immediately following our worship service – the UUFCM Board holds a brief Fellowship Life meeting to update the congregation on current happenings, plans and/or concerns within the congregation. The intention is for the meetings to be kept brief; the hope is for extended conversation to take place following the meeting during the coffee hour time. This meeting will include an announcement from our Transition Team. Please plan to attend.
