The Joyful Noise Choir was invited to participate in CMU’s Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 17. The choir performed “Give Light” based on the words of Ella Baker, a leader in the civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s, and the audience joined in singing the last verse. 
The Joyful Noise Choir will begin rehearsals for the fall on Wednesday, August 22, at 7:00 p.m. If you like to sing, even if you don’t read music, now would be a perfect time to join us as we are beginning to learn new music! Come, come, whoever you are. The 2014-2015 choir season is officially beginning this Wednesday evening, August 13, 2014 from 7:00-8:00. If you have ever been in a choir, or have always wanted to be in a choir, or just enjoy singing, please join us. We are in need of some additional voices. Although we do try and sing on the majority of Sundays from September through June, we are very flexible and are happy to have you when you are able to be with us even if it is once a month. We also have some members who are unable to be at the rehearsals on Wednesday evenings and sing with us on Sunday mornings.
