General Assembly, the annual gathering of our Unitarian Universalist faith, this year will be June 21-25 in person in Pittsburgh or virtually. We have some donated leadership funds that can support attendance, so if you are interested in attending as a visitor or as our UUFCM delegate, either in person or virtually, contact Stacey Pattison (staceyp555@gmail.com). |
Immediately following the service this Sunday, June 19, Jim Dealing and Dave Macleod invite you to join a discussion session either in-person or via Zoom to gather input from our congregation. They will provide information about an important bylaw proposal and a challenge to the process of nominations for the UUA Board that they will be voting on as our delegates.
For more information, please refer to this document.
If you have never been to a GA, the Board is willing to pay for members to participate virtually using our Leadership Development Funds. If you are interested, please contact Norma Bailey (baile1nj@cmich.edu) for further information, and visit the UUA website to learn more. Of course, if you have attended before, loved it, and found it to be a valuable experience, we encourage you to attend; because GA is virtual again this year, the registration fee is relatively inexpensive at $250.
Thousands of Unitarian Universalists gathered virtually last week for General Assembly, our annual national conference. Fourteen members and staff of UUFCM attended, participating in workshops, business meetings, worship services and more.
